Since 1961, the Head & Shoulders promise has been to remove 100% of dandruff flakes from people’s heads. The same guiding principle inspires our mission for the environment: leave no trace on the planet. We know we’re not perfect yet, but we’re working on it.

All our packaging will be recyclable or reusable by 2030

Just as we use new technology to constantly improve our products, we’re committed to using new techniques to improve our packaging.

Our HDPE bottle, excluding the cap, are already recyclable, and we are working hard to make sure all our products are fully recyclable. For us, improvement means that 100% of our bottles and containers will be recyclable or reusable by 2030. Find out more about our packaging.

WE ARE DESIGNING PRODUCTS THAT DELIGHT WHILE CONSCIOUSLY WORKING TOWARDS MAXIMIZING RESOURCE CONSERVATION

Our goal is to provide 1 billion people with access to water-efficient products. To date, we have reached 700 million people.

We also are working towards reducing water usage in manufacturing facilities by 20% per unit of production with conservation focused on water-stressed regions.

Caring for the environment is more than the conscious effort to improve the start to end life journey of our packaging – it’s considering everything around it.

That’s why we send zero waste to landfill in our manufacturing process. 95% of our manufacturing sites are ZMWTL and we diverted more than 5 million tons of waste from landfills.
