HEAD & SHOULDERS ACTIVATES “FLAKE FREE ZONE” AT THE 2015 GILLETTE HOME RUN DERBY PRESENTED BY HEAD & SHOULDERS
Flakes were going, going, gone at the 2015 Gillette Home Run Derby presented by Head & Shoulders. In case you missed it, Head & Shoulders designated a section of Great American Ball Park the Head & Shoulders “Flake Free Zone,” encouraging players to hit home runs into the zone for a great cause. For every home run hit into the zone, Head & Shoulders made a donation to the MLB Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program. 25 home runs were hit into the zone, resulting in a $80,000 donation to RBI for this event alone!
What did it take to hit one into the “Flake Free Zone?” Head & Shoulders partnered with John Brenkus, Host and Co-CEO of ESPN’s “Sport Science,” to find out. According to John, bat and ball speeds, launch angle and timing were the most important factors. Check out John’s interviews with CBS Sports Radio, Yahoo! Sports Radio, TSN Radio Toronto and MLB.com to learn more.
