3 SIGNES INDIQUANT QUE VOUS AVEZ PEUT-ÊTRE UN CUIR CHEVELU SENSIBLE

Head and Shoulders

Think you have a sensitive scalp? Here are 3 things to consider if you do.

3 SIGNS YOU MAY HAVE A SENSITIVE SCALP

1. Redness

Part your hair in a new spot and check your scalp in the mirror. If it’s red, this could be a sign of irritation.

Then think back to what products you’ve used on your hair and scalp – have you changed styling products, increased your water temperature or changed your shampoo?

You can be sensitive to almost any product, so you need to investigate to find out what’s causing the redness.

Monitor your scalp regularly and try to identify when it feels more irritated.

2. Inflammation

Inflammation, part of the body’s immune response to irritation, is your scalp’s way of trying to protect itself from what’s irritating it.

It can be acute, meaning it’s short-lived and usually disappears after a couple of days, or even sooner.

It can also be chronic if there’s a sustained or long-term exposure to the irritating element.

3. Itching

Whatever the cause of your scalp’s irritation, your body will send signals to the immune system and your brain to try and get rid of it.

Itching is part of the reaction, encouraging you to scratch and remove the irritant.

But be careful – itchiness can damage the top layer of cells on your scalp, causing more damage and triggering an immune response all over again.

Recognise the signs? Opt for a sensitive scalp shampoo
