Can seborrheic dermatitis be treated with shampoo?

Head and Shoulders

You cannot cure seborrheic dermatitis with a shampoo. However, you can fight the symptoms with the right shampoo. Like dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis is a recurring condition that can be controlled but not cured.

This doesn't necessarily mean that if you suffer from it, the symptoms will be constantly present. Use an appropriate shampoo regularly and it will protect you from their reappearance.

Pharmaceutical type shampoo Clinical Strength shampoo contains our most active formula, and its effectiveness has been demonstrated on the symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis, intense dandruff flare-ups among others.

Its active ingredient is different from that contained in our classic anti-dandruff shampoos. It is not zinc pyrithione, but selenium sulfide, which clinical tests have shown to be more effective. It removes more dandruff and faster than classic anti-dandruff shampoos.
